OSAYI-SAMUEL SET TO JOIN CRYSTAL PALACE ON A FIVE-YEAR DEAL
Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel is set to make a return to the English Premier League, with reports from Turkey suggesting that Crystal Palace is close to finalizing a deal to sign the Fenerbahce right-back.
As per Fotomac, the Eagles have offered the former Queens Park Rangers defender a four-and-a-half-year contract worth €4 million annually. The Turkish publication reports that both parties have made substantial progress in their talks, and a final agreement is imminent.
“The island team offered the player a 4.5-year contract for an annual fee of 4 million euros and the parties reached a large agreement,” Fotomac reported. Osayi-Samuel, who made the move to Fenerbahce from QPR in 2021, has been eager to return to England, with his name linked to Crystal Palace during the last transfer window.
His current deal with the Turkish side is set to expire this summer, and while Fenerbahce has attempted to extend his contract, the defender is likely to leave.
Despite Fenerbahce’s manager, José Mourinho, reportedly wanting to keep him, the Super Eagles star is expected to part ways with the club after making 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
Osayi-Samuel, known for his pace and versatility on the right wing, is viewed as an ideal fit for Palace's tactical approach, and Fotomac suggests he will be an important addition to the team for the 2025–26 season.
