Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly eager to secure a permanent move to Turkish giants Galatasaray and has pleaded with Napoli to ease the process.

Turkish football expert, Mustafa Göksu, revealed on the Arma Sports YouTube channel that Osimhen has repeatedly contacted Napoli’s Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna, asking the club to clear the way for his switch to Istanbul.

“Osimhen called Napoli Sporting Director Giovanni Manna many times regarding Galatasaray. He said, ‘Pave the way for me, make it easy for me, I will go to Galatasaray,’” Göksu disclosed.

The 26-year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is said to have turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi side Al Hilal, showing his clear preference to continue with the Turkish champions.

Adding to Galatasaray’s ambitious summer plans, Göksu also noted that the club is close to sealing a deal for İlkay Gündoğan from Manchester City, but intends to announce that transfer only after Osimhen’s deal is finalized.

With Osimhen’s current contract at Napoli set to expire in 2026, the Italian club may be keen to cash in now to avoid the risk of losing him for free later on.
