OSUN GOVERNOR VOWS NO DELAYS IN DELIVERY OF MEGA PROJECTS
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has instructed officials to fast-track the implementation of critical infrastructure projects across the state, emphasizing that there is no room for distractions in governance.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor issued the directive on Sunday night during a review meeting with key officials overseeing ongoing projects in major towns, including Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ile-Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo, and Ikirun.
Governor Adeleke urged project supervisors to ensure the timely completion of major projects currently underway, stressing that the pace of governance must be maintained in the best interest of the people. He reiterated that his administration remains committed to delivering tangible benefits to communities across Osun.
“I have been conducting secret supervisions of many ongoing projects and I am impressed with the dedication of our team. I have witnessed their sleepless nights,” the governor said.
He revealed that residents of Ila Orangun would soon begin using the new dual carriageway, describing it as part of broader efforts to modernize infrastructure across the state. On Ile-Ife, Adeleke expressed optimism that the historic town is on track to become a renewed urban center under ongoing development initiatives.
Speaking on Iwo, the governor noted that residents are already experiencing the benefits of modernization, while Osogbo and other towns continue to receive significant infrastructural upgrades. He vowed that the administration would sustain its efforts.
“We must maintain the momentum and deliver these projects without distractions. We should not give our detractors any breathing space; our response to criticism is more delivery of democratic dividends,” Adeleke said.
The governor further directed all contractors handling state projects to intensify their efforts, warning that the people’s expectations must not be delayed by preventable setbacks.
“So I hereby direct my team to keep pushing forward. All contractors are instructed to double their efforts. The people of Osun have strong faith in us, and we will not allow any contractor to slow down their hopes,” he added.
