The lawmaker representing Osun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Olubiyi Fadeyi, has called for unity within the All Progressives Congress and urged members to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.

Fadeyi appealed in a statement obtained in Osogbo on Friday, shortly after losing the APC senatorial primary ticket for the 2027 election to Adekunle Adegoke.

His defeat came as part of the APC primaries across Osun State, where other candidates also secured tickets for the 2027 general elections.

In his first public reaction after the primary, Fadeyi stressed the need for unity, loyalty, and collective responsibility among APC members, describing President Tinubu as a visionary leader whose policies continue to shape national development.

According to him, supporting Tinubu in the presidential primary is both a strategic decision and a reaffirmation of the party’s core values and long-term objectives.

He urged delegates and party members to come out in large numbers and support the President, saying unity within the APC remains crucial for sustained political success.

Fadeyi expressed confidence that the party would emerge stronger and more united after the primaries, with renewed focus on delivering on its promises to Nigerians.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
