OSUN@35: ADELEKE VOWS TO HEAL, UNITE RESIDENTS AFTER ELECTION

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on residents to put political differences behind them and unite for the continued development of the state following his re-election.

Adeleke made the appeal as Osun marked its 35th anniversary, saying the time had come for residents to focus on healing, reconciliation and building a stronger future for the state.

The governor described the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on Osun’s journey since its creation and the collective responsibility of its people in shaping its future.

He thanked residents for their support and urged them to move beyond the divisions created during the governorship election.

According to Adeleke, the development of Osun should remain a shared priority regardless of political affiliation, religion or community differences.

He called on political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil servants, youths, women and other stakeholders to work together in advancing the state’s development.

The governor said his administration would continue to focus on programmes and projects aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare and the welfare of residents.

Adeleke stressed that elections should not create permanent divisions among citizens, noting that governance must ultimately focus on the collective interest of the people.

As Osun marks 35 years of existence, he said the state must look beyond political competition and embrace a renewed commitment to unity and development.

The governor expressed optimism that stronger cooperation among residents and stakeholders would help Osun achieve greater economic and social progress in the years ahead.
