‘OUR SCHOOL WILL BE PROUD’ — TINUBU REUNITES WITH OLD CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY FRIEND AT ABUJA EVENT
President Bola Tinubu on Monday had a heartwarming reunion with Alex Sigman, an old friend and former neighbor from his days at Chicago State University, during a tractor commissioning event in Abuja.
Sigman, a Belarusian businessman, was recognized at the event, prompting Tinubu to reflect on their shared past and how far they had come since their university years in the United States.
Addressing the gathering, Tinubu said, “My dear friend, Alex Sigman — how are you? Congratulations. We were neighbors while studying at Chicago State University, and back then, we never imagined we would be where we are today.”
He continued, “Neither of us foresaw me becoming President of Nigeria or Alex becoming a successful businessman working to strengthen bilateral ties that can boost economic prosperity for both our nations. I believe our university will be proud of this moment.”
