The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially submitted Ezenwafor Jude as its governorship candidate and Okeke Chukwudi as his running mate for the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election set for November 8, 2025.

This submission was confirmed through a letter dated Wednesday, May 7, 2025, addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The letter was received and stamped by the INEC Chairman’s office on May 12, 2025.

The notification, signed by Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Damagum and National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu, informed INEC about the outcome of the party's primary election, which was monitored by the commission.

“We write to inform the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Ezenwafor Jude C. is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) Gubernatorial Candidate for the November 08, 2025 Anambra State Gubernatorial Election, having emerged winner of the Party’s Gubernatorial Primary in Anambra State monitored by the Commission,” the party statement read.

The party also introduced Okeke Chukwudi as the deputy governorship nominee, alongside Ezenwafor Jude as the governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra State election. 

“Please be also informed that Hon. Okeke Francis Chukwudi is Ezenwafor Jude’s Running Mate.”

To adhere to electoral regulations, the PDP stated that it had submitted all the necessary documentation. 

“We hereby forward the Credentials/Particulars: Forms EC-9, EC-9B and EC-13B, of both the candidate and running mate.”

The party urged the commission to acknowledge receipt and affirmed its commitment to due process.

“Your cooperation in this regard will be highly appreciated,” it stated, adding, “Kindly acknowledge receipt of this letter and accept the assurances of our highest esteem and regards.”
