PELLER SAYS ₦100 MILLION SAVINGS IS UNTOUCHABLE, EVEN IN FAMILY EMERGENCIES
Nigerian content creator Peller has sparked online debate after saying he would never allow his savings to fall below ₦100 million, even during family emergencies.
In a viral video featuring Peller alongside skit maker Sir Balo, the streamer explained that he treats the money as a protected reserve and refuses to spend from it.
“I don’t ever allow myself to be broke below ₦100 million,” he said, adding that he would rather seek new income opportunities than dip into the savings.
According to him, once people begin spending from reserved funds, it becomes easier to continue withdrawing until the savings are gone.
The statement has triggered mixed reactions across social media.
Some users praised his discipline and long-term financial mindset, arguing that strong boundaries are necessary for wealth preservation.
Others criticised the comment as too extreme, especially in a society where many people support extended family members during medical and financial emergencies.
The discussion has also reignited broader conversations about balancing personal financial security with family responsibilities in Nigeria’s tough economic climate
