PFIPC SCANDAL EXPOSES DEPTH OF INSTITUTIONAL DECAY, ADC SLAMS PRESIDENCY
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly criticised the Presidency over the unfolding scandal involving the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative and Production Company (PFIPC), describing it as a glaring example of deep institutional decay and corruption at the highest levels of government.
ADC National Chairman, Mr. Ralph Nwosu, accused the administration of failing to provide adequate oversight, allowing massive irregularities in procurement, fund disbursement, and project execution. “The PFIPC scandal has exposed the rot in our institutions. It is unacceptable that public resources meant for farmers are being diverted,” he said.
The party called for a thorough independent investigation and the prosecution of all individuals found culpable, regardless of their position. The ADC also demanded transparency in the management of public enterprises and stronger anti-corruption measures.
The scandal has generated widespread public outrage, with many Nigerians demanding accountability from the government. The Presidency has promised to address the issue but has faced accusations of slow response.
The development has intensified political debates ahead of future elections, with opposition parties using it to question the administration’s integrity.
