POLICE ARREST FOUR OVER ALLEGED TRUCK HIJACKING IN OYO

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of a criminal syndicate allegedly involved in the hijacking of trucks and other criminal activities in the state.

The suspects were apprehended following an intelligence-led operation by police operatives investigating reports of truck hijacking within Oyo and neighbouring areas.

According to reports, the police identified the suspects as members of a group allegedly involved in intercepting and unlawfully taking possession of vehicles transporting goods.

The arrests followed an investigation that led security operatives to the suspects’ hideout, where they were taken into custody for further questioning.

Police authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ alleged activities and identify other members of the group who may still be at large.

The command reiterated its commitment to tackling vehicle-related crimes and other forms of criminal activity across the state.

Residents and transport operators were also encouraged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.

The latest arrests come amid continued efforts by the Oyo State Police Command to strengthen security and disrupt criminal networks operating within the state.
