The Police Service Commission has announced April 28 to 30, 2026, as dates for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for candidates in the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force.

According to the announcement, the test will follow the nationwide physical and credential screening scheduled to end on April 18, and will be conducted across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Police spokesperson Ahmad Rufa'i described the CBT stage as a critical phase designed to ensure only qualified candidates are selected into the force.

He explained that the duration of the test will vary depending on the number of candidates and available CBT centres in each state, with some states completing the exercise within one day while others may use the full three-day window.

Applicants were advised to remain calm and await official updates on venues and shortlisted candidates, as well as to rely only on verified communication channels.

The police also warned against misinformation, stressing that all official details will be released through authorised platforms.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
