Operatives of the police in Kogi have arrested two suspects found in possession of 339 wraps of suspected cannabis during a routine security operation.

Security sources said the suspects were intercepted while moving the illicit substance along a major route within the state, following intelligence-led surveillance by officers.

According to authorities, the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on drug trafficking and related criminal activities across the region.

The recovered substance has been taken into custody for further forensic analysis, while the suspects remain under investigation.
