POLICE NAB TWO OVER KILLING OF CHINESE WORKER IN OGUN, TRACK SUSPECTS TO JOS HIDEOUT
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested two suspects linked to the gruesome murder of 33-year-old Chinese national, Mr. Chen Wang, in Ogun State.
Wang, an employee of WH Great Resource Ltd. in Ogere, was stabbed to death on January 12, 2025, inside his office after the suspects allegedly disabled the company’s security system. They also stole the keys to his residence, burgled his home, and fled the state with stolen money.
Giving an update on the case on Tuesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the two suspects — Yunusa Abdullahi, 25, from Borno State, and Peace Danlami, 20, from Taraba State — were arrested in Jos, Plateau State, where they had been hiding under fake identities.
According to Adejobi, the arrest followed weeks of careful technical surveillance and intelligence work coordinated by the Nigeria Police Force Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) alongside detectives from the Ogun State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran.
He explained that the police deployed digital forensics, biometric analysis and human intelligence to track down the suspects and ensure they faced justice.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the Ogun Command, the TIU, and all officers involved in the operation for their diligence and professionalism. He assured Nigerians and the international community of the Force’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property through proactive policing.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged to court once investigations are completed.
