PORTABLE SLAMS VERYDARKMAN OVER MOHBAD CONTROVERSY: “STOP DECEIVING NIGERIANS”
Controversial street-hop singer, Portable, has publicly criticized social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of manipulating public opinion and misleading Nigerians in the ongoing conversations around the late singer Mohbad.
In a recent video, Portable—real name Habeeb Okikiola—called out VDM for what he described as inconsistent behavior regarding the Justice for Mohbad campaign. Mohbad, a rising music star, passed away in September 2023 under mysterious circumstances, sparking widespread outrage and calls for justice.
Portable accused VDM of using Mohbad’s name for fame and then turning around to undermine the same cause he once supported.
“You came out pretending to fight for Mohbad, but now you’re dragging Iyabo Ojo instead,” Portable said in the video. “What did she even do to you? You’re just manipulating the public and creating confusion.”
The Zazu crooner didn’t hold back, stating that VDM had originally accused certain people of being behind Mohbad’s death, only to later backtrack, confusing many supporters of the campaign.
“You said Mohbad was killed. Now you’re acting like you’re not sure. Are you the one who decides who is good or bad in this country?” he asked.
Portable also urged the public to remain focused on the true goal: justice for Mohbad. He emphasized that dragging the late singer’s name repeatedly and attacking those who supported the campaign, like actress Iyabo Ojo, was doing more harm than good.
“Let Mohbad rest in peace. Stop deceiving Nigerians. We know who bullied him,” Portable added.
The clash between Portable and VDM highlights growing tensions and differing views within the online movement seeking accountability for Mohbad’s untimely death. As debates continue, fans and supporters remain hopeful that the real truth will eventually come to light.
