President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s strong commitment to enhancing the welfare of Nigerian workers, emphasizing that they are the cornerstone of the nation’s economic and social development. His remarks came in a message delivered on Thursday in celebration of Workers’ Day.

In his speech, President Tinubu commended the perseverance, dedication, and invaluable contributions of Nigerian workers across both the public and private sectors, recognizing their central role in the country's growth and progress.

"You are the backbone of our economy and the key to our nation's success," the President stated. He assured that his administration will continue to prioritize the well-being of workers as part of its efforts to build a prosperous and sustainable future for Nigeria.

The President also acknowledged the efforts of all Nigerian workers, whether in formal employment or the informal sector, young or old, entrepreneur or employee, underscoring their vital role in supporting families, communities, and the nation.

"Our government is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and productive economy. Together, we will make Nigeria a stronger and greater nation," he promised, reaffirming his commitment to honoring and rewarding the dignity of labour.
