PRINCE TALAL INTERNATIONAL PRIZE FOR AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY – APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2026 EDITION

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — The Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) is inviting applications for the 2026 Prince Talal International Prize for Affordable and Clean Energy, with a total value of US$ 1 million

 

The annual award honors innovative projects that advance Sustainable Development Goal 7 and contribute to broader human development.

 

The prize is open worldwide to individuals, NGOs, government entities, and social enterprises. It recognizes initiatives that improve energy access, empower women, support early childhood development, strengthen civil society, promote education, and expand financial inclusion.

 

Funding is distributed across four categories: US$ 400,000 for UN agencies or international/regional NGOs, US$ 300,000 for national NGOs, US$ 200,000 for government/social businesses, and US$ 100,000 for individuals. 

 

 

Winners also receive trophies, certificates, and the opportunity to showcase their work at the annual award ceremony.
