PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria has announced the elevation of four distinguished professionals to partnership positions, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership development in the Nigerian professional services industry.

The new partners, who assumed office on Friday, bring a wealth of experience across audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services. They are expected to play pivotal roles in driving the firm’s growth strategy and delivering value to clients in a rapidly evolving business environment.

PwC Nigeria Country Senior Partner, Mr. Uyi Akpata, congratulated the new partners and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s objectives. “These appointments reflect our focus on nurturing talent and strengthening our leadership bench. We are proud to welcome these exceptional professionals into the partnership,” Akpata stated.

The new partners are:

  • Ms. Adaeze Okoro (Audit and Assurance)
  • Mr. Chukwudi Nwankwo (Tax and Regulatory Services)
  • Dr. Funmilayo Adeyemi (Advisory and Consulting)
  • Mr. Olumide Ogunmefun (Risk Assurance and Sustainability)

Each brings specialised expertise that aligns with PwC’s focus areas, including digital transformation, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. Their elevation is seen as a strategic move to enhance service delivery amid increasing demand for high-quality professional advisory in Nigeria’s economy.

Industry observers hailed the development as a positive signal for career progression in the Big Four accounting firms operating in Nigeria. The appointments also underscore PwC’s dedication to diversity and inclusion, with two of the new partners being women.

PwC Nigeria has continued to expand its footprint in the country, supporting businesses across various sectors with innovative solutions. The firm remains committed to building capacity and contributing to the development of the accounting profession in Nigeria.

The new partners will officially be welcomed at a partners’ retreat scheduled for later this month, where they will align on the firm’s strategic priorities for the coming year.
