RAPPER WALE DAVIES: “BAD DECISIONS HOLD TALENTED PEOPLE BACK”

Nigerian rapper Wale Davies, popularly known as Tec from the hip-hop duo Show Dem Camp, has shared his thoughts on why many talented people struggle to reach their full potential.

Speaking on the Overnight Success Podcast, Tec explained that talent alone isn’t enough to guarantee success — it’s the decisions creatives make that often determine how far they go.

“The biggest hindrance for talented people is decision-making. Sometimes, it could be a manager you chose that steals your money, a record label, or maybe you signed too early,” he said.

According to him, poor choices — such as rushing into the wrong record deal or working with the wrong team — can derail even the most gifted artists. He advised creatives to surround themselves with the right people who can guide and protect them from costly mistakes.

Tec stressed that while talent opens doors, wise decisions and good management are what sustain long-term success.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
