REAL MADRID HIT BY MIDFIELD INJURY CRISIS AHEAD OF NEW SEASON
Real Madrid are heading into the 2025/26 season with growing concerns in midfield after Eduardo Camavinga suffered a sprained ankle.
The Frenchman’s setback adds to an already worrying list of absences, with star man Jude Bellingham sidelined until October following shoulder surgery during the summer. Madrid have yet to sign a new midfielder in the current transfer window, leaving the squad short of depth in the middle of the park.
Camavinga’s injury is particularly troubling as it marks his fifth in the past year. He was restricted to just 19 LaLiga appearances last season, and his absence could once again force manager Xabi Alonso to reshuffle his plans.
The situation is further complicated by the departure of veteran Luka Modric, who left as a free agent to join AC Milan.
Los Blancos will kick off their LaLiga campaign at home against Osasuna on August 19, but Alonso will be hoping for a quick recovery for his key players if Madrid are to start the season strongly.
