Real Madrid Pays Tribute to Late Spanish Sports Journalist Manolete

Spanish football is in mourning following the death of veteran sports journalist Manuel Esteban Fernández, popularly known as Manolete. The celebrated reporter passed away on Thursday in Madrid at the age of 68.

On Friday, Real Madrid expressed their sadness in an official statement on the club’s website, sending heartfelt condolences to Manolete’s family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

“Real Madrid C.F., its president and board of directors are deeply saddened by the passing of Manuel Esteban Fernández ‘Manolete’ and wish to express condolences to his family, colleagues and loved ones,” the statement read.
