REAL MADRID WON’T MATCH MBAPPE’S SALARY FOR VINICIUS — COULD SELL HIM IN 2026
Real Madrid Rejects Vinicius’ €30m Salary Demand, May Sell Him if Form Doesn’t Improve
Real Madrid have reportedly refused to meet Vinicius Jr.’s demand for a salary equal to Kylian Mbappe’s, despite ongoing contract renewal talks.
According to reports from SER Deportivos, the Spanish giants are unwilling to offer the Brazilian forward the €30 million annual salary package he’s been requesting, including bonuses.
Although both parties came close to agreeing on new terms earlier this month, the talks broke down over the wage demands. As it stands, Vinicius’ current contract runs until June 2027, but Madrid are not in a rush to extend it under the current conditions.
Instead, the club has decided to monitor Vinicius’ performance over the next 12 months. If he impresses on the pitch, a fresh round of negotiations could take place. But if his form doesn’t meet expectations, Real Madrid are prepared to sell him.
Vinicius, now 25, joined Real Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo and has become a key figure at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, with Kylian Mbappe’s recent arrival and huge salary, Madrid are making it clear: not every star will be paid the same.
Whether the club and Vinicius can find common ground remains to be seen — but the pressure is now on the Brazilian to deliver in the coming season.
