Nigerian music star Rema has collaborated with BLACKPINK’s LISA and Brazilian singer Anitta to produce the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The song, titled “Goals”, was officially announced on Saturday as the global soundtrack for football’s biggest tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The collaboration brings together three powerful artists from different continents. Rema represents Africa with his signature Afrobeats energy, LISA brings her global pop influence from Asia, and Anitta adds Brazilian rhythm and flair from South America.

FIFA described “Goals” as a vibrant and unifying track that captures the spirit of the beautiful game and the excitement of the 2026 World Cup. The anthem is expected to be played during official matches, promotional campaigns, and major FIFA events leading up to and throughout the tournament.

Rema expressed his excitement about the project, calling it a huge honour to represent Nigerian and African music on such a global platform. Fans have reacted positively to the announcement, with many already anticipating the release of the full song and music video.

This collaboration further highlights the rising global influence of Afrobeats and Nigerian artists on the world stage.

The full song “Goals” is expected to be released in the coming weeks as the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
