REPORT ONLINE SELLERS WHO DELIVER WRONG ITEMS, LAGOS TELLS CONSUMERS

The Lagos State Government has urged consumers to report online sellers who deliver items that do not match what they ordered.

In a consumer awareness message issued on Monday, the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency encouraged residents to speak up when online purchases fall short of the descriptions or quality promised by vendors.

The agency said shoppers should receive the goods they paid for, as advertised, rather than accept something different without raising a complaint.

“Goods or products you order online should be delivered as promised,” it stated.

It added that consumers should not remain silent when delivered items differ from their orders, do not match the seller’s description or fail to meet the expected quality.

The message forms part of the state’s efforts to address unfair business practices and encourage consumers to report problems with online purchases.
