ROONEY TELLS AMORIM: NO EXCUSES FOR MAN UNITED THIS SEASON

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has sent a strong message to current manager Ruben Amorim, insisting there are no excuses for failure this season.

United’s slow start to the Premier League campaign continued on Sunday with a 1-1 draw at Fulham, leaving the club still searching for their first win.

The Red Devils spent over £200 million during the summer transfer window, strengthening their attack with the arrivals of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo. Expectations at Old Trafford are high, especially after last season’s disappointing 15th-place finish.

Speaking on his BBC podcast, Rooney made it clear that Amorim must deliver results.

“There’s no excuses now for the manager this season. He’s got to start getting results and getting them quickly. Once you start getting into October or November, if results don’t change drastically, that’s when the pressure comes,” Rooney warned.

With back-to-back setbacks — a home defeat to Arsenal and a draw at Craven Cottage — the pressure is already mounting. Fans will be watching closely to see if Amorim can turn things around before the season slips away.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
