RUGER REVEALED THAT HIS MUSIC CAREER BEGAN IN THE CHURCH CHOIR.
Afrobeats singer Ruger shared that his musical journey began in the church choir.
He made this revelation during a recent episode of the Apple Music program Africa Now.
Ruger noted that his experience in the church choir played a significant role in refining his vocal skills.
The Bounce hitmaker explained that he doesn’t prominently showcase his vocal ability in his songs, emphasizing that only those who have seen him perform live have truly experienced his vocals.
He said, *“Only people who have watched me perform live have had the chance to appreciate my vocals. Even in my music, I don’t necessarily show it off.
"My favorite part of being Ruger is performing on stage because I get to express myself freely through my songs. I started in the choir, so I know how to sing, especially when the song deeply resonates with me.”*
