RUSSIA ARRESTS GERMAN WOMAN OVER BOMB PLOT ALLEGATIONS
Russia said it has arrested a German woman accused of carrying a homemade bomb as part of an alleged plot to attack a security services facility in the country’s south.
According to Russia’s Federal Security Service, the woman was detained in Pyatigorsk with an improvised explosive device found in her backpack.
Authorities claimed the operation was organised on behalf of Ukraine and involved a second suspect from a Central Asian country.
The FSB said the explosive device was intended to be detonated remotely, but the attack was prevented through electronic jamming.
Russian officials added that both suspects could face life imprisonment on terrorism charges.
There was no immediate response from Germany or Ukraine regarding the allegations.
Since the start of the war, Russia has made multiple arrests linked to alleged sabotage and espionage plots, many involving foreign nationals.
