SANWO-OLU SWEARS IN SEVEN NEW PERMANENT SECRETARIES IN LAGOS
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sworn in seven new Permanent Secretaries into the state public service.
He also inaugurated the Chairman and members of the Lagos State Health Service Commission.
The ceremony was held on Friday at the Banquet Hall of Lagos House in Ikeja.
The development was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, in a statement shared on X.
During the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu charged the newly appointed officials to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and commitment to efficient service delivery.
He urged them to see their appointments as a call to greater responsibility in serving the people of Lagos State.
The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries include Engr. Adeyemi Adetunji Adesanya for the Ministry of Urban Development.
Others are Mrs Durodola Olusola Bukonla for the Local Government Service Commission, Mrs Oladeji Oluwatoyin Olubunmi for the Cabinet Office, and Mr Sorungbe Tiwalade Adeyinka for the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology.
Also appointed are Arc. Olukareh Bolanle Monica for the Office of Works, Dr Oluwo Adenike Oluwafunmilayo for Health District II, and Dr Martins Babajide Olumuyiwa for the Bureau of Public Defender.
In addition, the governor inaugurated the Lagos State Health Service Commission.
Dr Oguntimehin Olukayode Olumuyiwa was named Chairman of the commission.
Other members include Dr Ogboye Olusegun Abayomi, Dr Odunuga Omolaja Odushola, Pharm. Dr Adejumo Moyosore Wuraola, and Dr Mrs Fadipe Ololade Omolayo.
Sanwo-Olu said the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen governance structures and improve service delivery across key sectors.
He noted that health, infrastructure, and public administration remain critical areas for the continued growth of Lagos.
The governor added that his administration remains committed to building a more efficient and responsive public service to meet the needs of the state’s growing population.
