SERIE A: ATALANTA BOSS JURIC EAGER TO RETAIN LOOKMAN AMID TRANSFER INTEREST
New Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has made it clear he wants to keep Ademola Lookman at the club despite growing transfer interest.
The Nigerian forward has attracted attention from top clubs including Napoli, Juventus, and Arsenal following an impressive campaign with the Bergamo side.
Juric, however, is hopeful Lookman — along with teammate Ederson — will remain at Atalanta as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
“The idea is to keep both Lookman and Ederson,” Juric said, as quoted by Calcio Napoli. “The club has its own transfer strategy, and I haven’t made any specific requests about players, not even ones I’ve worked with before.”
Lookman played a key role in Atalanta’s successful 2023–24 season, scoring 22 goals and providing five assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
The 27-year-old winger has one year remaining on his contract with the Europa League champions.
