SERIE A: CONTE TO LEAVE NAPOLI AT END OF SEASON — REPORT
Serie A club Napoli is reportedly set for a managerial change at the end of the season after head coach Antonio Conte decided to leave the club.
According to reports, Conte decided about a month ago and has already informed club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The departure is expected to happen at the end of the current campaign.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on X on Tuesday, “Antonio Conte has decided to leave Napoli at the end of the season, it’s over.
“Conte made his decision and informed the president De Laurentiis already one month ago.
“There will be no exit fee, Conte will leave without severance pay and without any agreement elsewhere.”
Conte’s spell at Napoli attracted major attention because of his reputation as a demanding and results-driven manager known for reshaping teams quickly and imposing tactical discipline.
His reported decision to leave now leaves the club facing another major transition as it prepares to review its long-term sporting plans.
Although Napoli has yet to issue an official statement, internal discussions are expected to focus on identifying a replacement once the season ends.
During his time at the club, Conte guided Napoli to major success, winning the Serie A title in his debut season and also securing the Supercoppa Italiana, underlining his immediate impact on the squad.
