Residents of Abuja’s Gwarimpa area were thrown into shock on Monday, September 8, 2025, after the lifeless body of a female accountant was found inside her car with multiple stab wounds.

The victim has been identified as Kasham Thomas, an accountant with the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria.

According to reports, her body was discovered along 35 Road in Gwarimpa with stab injuries to her chest and stomach. A knife, suspected to be the murder weapon, and an Apple Watch were also recovered inside the vehicle.

Eyewitnesses said police officers from the Gwarimpa division were quickly alerted. After informing her family, the officers moved her body to Kubwa General Hospital.

A relative of the deceased revealed that Kasham had spent the day in the Karshi community, where she picked up her two children ahead of school resumption.

“She left Karshi around 7 pm and went to her home in Lugbe to drop off the children,” the relative explained. “After that, she left the house again, promising to come back soon.”

Sadly, she never returned.

Police sources have confirmed the tragic incident, but investigations are still ongoing to determine who was behind the attack and the motive.

The shocking death has left family, friends, and colleagues in deep grief, while residents of Abuja are calling for improved security across the city.
