SOKOTO TARGETS 3,000 NEW CIVIL SERVICE JOBS IN FRESH RECRUITMENT
The Sokoto State Government has announced that its graduate recruitment exercise will commence on Monday, September 22, and will run until October 6, 2025.
In a statement on Saturday, the Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, Gandi Muhammad, explained that the initiative is aimed at creating employment opportunities for qualified indigenes of the state.
He noted that interested applicants are to obtain forms free of charge from their respective local government areas before completing the application process online via the official portal: https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng.
Applicants are required to register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, fill in their biodata, and upload necessary documents such as educational certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number. Candidates will also be required to take a photograph while completing the online form.
Muhammad emphasized that the recruitment is completely free and warned against multiple submissions, which may lead to disqualification.
“Shortlisted applicants will be notified through their registered email or via the portal. Any further tests or screenings will be officially communicated. All applications must be completed between September 22 and October 6, 2025,” the statement read.
The committee further advised applicants to ensure a stable internet connection during registration and cautioned them not to make any payments to anyone in relation to the recruitment.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu had earlier approved the constitution of a committee to oversee the recruitment of qualified indigenes into the state civil service. He stated that the exercise is part of efforts to employ 3,000 new workers across all 23 local government areas, reduce unemployment, and strengthen critical sectors.
According to the governor, the initiative is targeted at providing opportunities for qualified young people, particularly unemployed graduates with NCE, HND, or degree qualifications.
