Civil society leaders, academics, and journalists in the Global South are invited to join an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on the South to South AI Accountability CoLab Microgrants on August 20, 2025. The session will be held at 7:30 PM WIB (Jakarta), 7:30 AM Bogotá, and 1:30 PM Kinshasa.

The CoLab is a program designed to strengthen connections between AI accountability reporting and civil society engagement, ensuring inclusive and informed governance of AI across the Global South.

It features two main components:

Peer Learning Circles – Facilitating knowledge-sharing between civil society and academia.

Microgrants – Funding local initiatives that explore AI’s impact on society and promote transparent governance.

The AMA will cover application guidelines, eligibility, and examples of initiatives suitable for funding. The microgrants aim to complement peer learning circles and help build a multidisciplinary network of civic actors, academics, and journalists advancing more accountable AI.
