SPEAKER ABBAS WARNS OF INSTABILITY, STRESSES NEED TO MENTOR NEXT GENERATION
During the Commonwealth Day 2025 celebration on March 10, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, expressed concern over political instability in Africa and emphasized the importance of mentoring young Nigerians for leadership roles. He highlighted the Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) as a key program for preparing future leaders.
Speaker Abbas called on political parties to actively identify and nurture young talents, ensuring deliberate and inclusive leadership succession. He also stressed the need for ethical leadership communication to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic values.
