After his victory over Speed Darlington in their celebrity boxing match, controversial musician Portable was gifted N20 million by Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy.

Meanwhile, the defeated American-based Nigerian artist has demanded a rematch, claiming his opponent used "juju" to secure the win.

Held on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, the "Chaos In the Ring" bout ended abruptly in the second round when Speed Darlington claimed he suffered a dislocated shoulder, making him unable to continue.

Portable confirmed the generous reward from Burna Boy, who has been in conflict with Speed Darlington, by writing on his Instagram story on Saturday: “20 million from @burnaboygram. If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”

Following his defeat, a visibly upset Speed Darlington shared a video on Instagram, blaming his loss on supernatural forces.

He lamented, “Portable, I want a rematch, it breaks my heart you are carrying that money. It is so unfair, you have up to two experiences fighting. I have not entered the ring before, I never learned how to fight, I did not come from poverty.”

He continued, “You do not deserve that money, I need a rematch, not this month or next month. I want to train hard for two months, I need at least 30 days of training, and then I will do my own juju.”

Speed Darlington also accused the event organizers of tribalism, claiming the match was biased in favor of Portable due to his Yoruba heritage.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
