SUPER EAGLES B TO BEGIN CHAN 2024 CAMPAIGN IN ZANZIBAR
The Confédération of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the venues for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), and Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team will begin their title quest in Zanzibar.
The tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, is scheduled to run from August 2 to August 30, 2025, marking a return of CHAN to East Africa for the first time since Rwanda 2016.
Group D Action in Zanzibar
Nigeria is placed in Group D, alongside Senegal, Congo, and Sudan. All matches in this group will be held at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar, a venue that has recently proven its capacity by successfully hosting the CAF Confederation Cup final in May 2025.
The choice of Zanzibar highlights CAF’s commitment to promoting football across diverse regions and giving more fans across the continent access to top-tier football.
