Nigeria’s Super Falcons secured a convincing 3–1 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses in their second international friendly at the Military Stadium, Yaoundé on Tuesday night.

The win marked a strong response from the African champions, who had suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to the hosts in the first encounter last Saturday.

Cameroon struck early, with Christiane finding the net in the seventh minute to hand the Lionesses an early advantage.

However, the team coached by Justine Madugu regrouped and began to assert control. Nigeria drew level in the 32nd minute when Chiwendu Ihezuo finished clinically to restore parity.

Momentum shifted firmly in Nigeria’s favour just before halftime, as Rinsola Babajide calmly slotted home from close range to give the visitors a 2–1 lead.

The Falcons extended their advantage in the 64th minute, with Michelle Alozie heading in to seal the victory.

Nigeria maintained control for the remainder of the match, completing an impressive comeback and underlining their quality after the earlier setback.
