TELECOM REGULATOR NCC GETS RECOGNITION

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has received international recognition for its outstanding contributions to the development and regulation of the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.

The award, presented by a global telecoms organisation, acknowledges the NCC’s leadership in promoting digital inclusion, infrastructure expansion, and consumer protection. NCC Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Aminu Maida, dedicated the honour to the commission’s staff and stakeholders for their dedication to advancing Nigeria’s digital economy.

“This recognition reinforces our commitment to creating a robust and inclusive telecommunications ecosystem that supports economic growth and innovation,” Maida said. The NCC has been instrumental in driving broadband penetration, 5G rollout, and regulatory reforms in recent years.
