TENIOLA ALADESE STARS AS THE LEAD IN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA 'GONE'.
The film received an AMVCA nomination in the Multichoice Talent Factory Award category.
Co-directed by Omotola Oke and Anjola Aluko, and penned by Winner Achimugu, the film showcases a gripping ensemble cast, including Teniola Aladese, Paul Nnadiekwe, Kelechi Udegbe, and Tolu Odewumi.
The story follows Damola Akinola, who has mysteriously received anonymous gifts and letters from his long-absent father every year on his birthday.
Events take a dark turn on his 25th birthday when a skeleton is discovered in the family's septic tank, sparking a police investigation led by Detective Christie Obi, played by Teniola Aladese.
As the investigation progresses, long-buried family secrets and unresolved emotional wounds come to light, threatening to tear the family apart.
Producer Izzy Besta praised Teniola Aladese’s portrayal of Detective Christie Obi, stating:
“We knew the role demanded someone with exceptional range—someone who could embody both the pursuit of justice and the compassion of a woman witnessing a family's breakdown. Teniola didn’t just take on the role; she elevated it.”
Gone has been nominated in the Best MultiChoice Talent Factory Film category at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), set to take place in May 2024 at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
