THE AFRICAN CREATORS SUMMIT 2025: A VIBRANT CELEBRATION OF CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION
The second edition of the African Creators Summit, held in 2025, dazzled attendees with a remarkable blend of creative content, fashion, and innovation.
Taking place at the Balmoral Event Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos, the summit attracted over 1,500 participants under the theme, “Building a Sustainable Ecosystem: Content as a Tool.” It served as a dynamic platform for content creators, industry leaders, and creative entrepreneurs from across Africa to harness the power of storytelling and digital influence.
Powered by the Apollo Creators Foundation, the event was hosted by popular figures Nedu and Real Warri Pikin. Notable attendees included Ayo Adeagbo, Special Assistant on Art, Culture, and Creative Economy to the President; Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu, President of Woodhall Capital Foundation; and comedian Bovi.
The summit featured engaging panel discussions led by prominent voices like Aproko Doctor, Geena Foodies and Spice, Efenomen Ikhuoria Okoijie, and The Visual Advocate. Another highlight was a thought-provoking conversation with Dr. Foy, Daddy Freeze, Daniel Ikuenobe, and Malik Afegbua, who delved into the vital role of creators in shaping narratives. Communications expert and talent manager Olufemi Oguntamu, along with Solafunmi Laelle, Nosa Omoregie, and Tobi Alabi, shared insightful strategies on utilizing analytics and management to build sustainable brands.
Emphasizing the importance of amplifying diverse voices in the industry, speakers like Fari Elsysia, Ariyike Akinbobola, Nkubi, and Emmanuela captivated the audience. One of the summit’s standout moments was a collaborative fashion show curated by Latasha Lagos, which showcased top digital creators as high-fashion models, strutting in stunning creations from renowned Nigerian designers.
Brainjotter made a stylish entrance in a sleek outfit by Uche Nnaji, while Kiekie turned heads in a striking red and black ensemble from Moofa Studio. Lasisi Elenu commanded the runway in a regal traditional outfit by On Point Clothing NG, and Ghanaian comedian Waris exuded elegance in a custom design by Vav Definition. The show concluded with an unforgettable appearance by Layi Wasabi, showcasing a striking look from I.N Official.
This year’s summit not only celebrated creativity but also emphasized the importance of building a sustainable ecosystem for the future of African content creators.
