Thomas Tuchel has signed a new contract that will see him remain head coach of the England national football team until the end of Euro 2028 in the UK and Ireland, the Football Association announced on Thursday.

Tuchel was appointed as successor to Gareth Southgate in October 2024 and has since guided the Three Lions through an impressive run of form.

Under the German manager, England completed an unbeaten qualification campaign for this year’s FIFA World Cup in North America, winning all eight of their group matches.

The contract extension ensures Tuchel will lead England through the 2026 World Cup and remain in charge for Euro 2028, which will be jointly hosted by the UK and Ireland.
