President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, on her 46th birthday, praising her leadership and public service record.

In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President described her as a “steady hand” whose work has strengthened institutions and improved social outcomes.

Tinubu noted that under her leadership, the Ministry of Women Affairs has focused on protection, inclusion, and expanding opportunities for women, children, and vulnerable groups.

He also commended her ability to manage complex policy areas with what he called “quiet effectiveness,” aligning her work with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim, born on April 19, 1980, has served in several key public roles, including leading the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons.

She was later appointed Minister of State for Police Affairs before becoming Minister of Women's Affairs following a cabinet reshuffle in 2024.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
