TINUBU HAILS GOVERNOR SANI, DECLARES KADUNA A MODEL FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for his transformative leadership, crediting him with restoring peace, stability, and development to the state in less than two years.
Speaking during a grand reception held in his honour at Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna, President Tinubu described the governor as “an agent of change, stability, love, unity, and progress.”
He highlighted the dramatic turnaround in Kaduna’s security landscape, saying the once-troubled Birnin Gwari area is now so peaceful that people can travel there “even at midnight without fear.”
“Kaduna used to be an uncontrollable environment,” Tinubu said. “Now it is a place of life, growth, and hope. Thank you, my comrade.”
Honour for Dangiwa Umar
The President also took the opportunity to right a previous oversight by announcing Col. Dangiwa Umar (retd) as a recipient of the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) honour, correcting his omission from the 2025 Democracy Day list.
Inaugurating Progress
President Tinubu commissioned key projects in the state, including:
A 300-bed specialist hospital
100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses
The Kaduna Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development
He also reaffirmed federal support for major infrastructure initiatives, including a proposed light rail project, and a national “Raise Hope Agenda” focused on skills development and food security.
Governor Sani: Kaduna is Rising Again
Governor Sani expressed appreciation for the President’s visit and applauded his commitment to rebuilding the North.
“When we took office, Kaduna was plagued by insecurity and stagnation. But we refused to be broken. Today, peace has returned, schools are open, and commerce is thriving again,” Sani said.
He noted that:
62 new secondary schools have been built
1,049 classrooms upgraded
79 roads (780km) constructed
Tuition fees in state institutions slashed by 50%
He also unveiled the remodeled Panteka Market, calling it “Africa’s largest informal skills hub,” and announced that the 100 new CNG buses would be free for workers, students, and pensioners for the first six months.
North Embraces Tinubu’s Leadership
Sani credited the President’s support for the launch of the Kaduna Peace Model, combining local engagement with security operations. Over 500,000 hectares of abandoned farmland have been revived, and 535 schools reopened in previously unsafe areas.
He urged northerners to rally behind Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, calling him “a President who stood with us in our darkest hour and is now leading us into the light.”
Speaker Abbas Vows Kaduna Will Back Tinubu in 2027
Also speaking at the event, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas declared that Kaduna has no alternative to Tinubu in 2027.
“Our goal is to secure at least 60% of Kaduna’s votes for President Tinubu. This is not just politics—it’s a coordinated commitment,” he said.
He applauded Tinubu for major projects like:
The Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano highway
The Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline, now 72% complete
A United Vision for the Future
With Kaduna’s remarkable transformation and growing federal support, President Tinubu and Governor Sani showcased a strong, united front—one focused on delivering peace, empowering communities, and building a better future for all Nigerians.
“Kaduna is rising again,” Tinubu said. “And together, we will continue to lift this nation higher.”
