‘TINUBU MUST GO’ CHANT RINGS OUT AT ADC RALLY IN SOKOTO

Supporters of the African Democratic Congress chanted “Tinubu Must Go” on Wednesday as they gathered for the party’s presidential campaign flag-off in Sokoto.

The slogan echoed around the venue on Ilorin Road, where presidential candidate and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar was expected to address the crowd.

Supporters reportedly arrived from different parts of the state, calling for a change of government ahead of the 2027 elections.

Some linked their opposition to economic hardship and insecurity, issues expected to feature prominently in the campaign.

The gathering formed part of the ADC’s efforts to strengthen grassroots support in Sokoto and challenge the ruling APC.

At the time of the report, Atiku and the campaign delegation had not reached the venue from Sultan Abubakar III International Airport. Their arrival was reportedly delayed by crowds along the route.
