TINUBU PRAISES HAUSA COMMUNITY FOR ROLE IN STRENGTHENING NIGERIA’S UNITY
President Bola Tinubu has praised the Hausa people for their contributions to Nigeria’s development and national cohesion, describing them as important pillars of the country’s unity.
The President emphasised the importance of peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups, noting that the country’s strength lies in its ability to accommodate different cultures, traditions and identities.
Tinubu’s remarks come amid continued calls for Nigerians to promote unity and reject divisions capable of threatening the country’s stability. He has previously stressed that dialogue and cooperation remain essential to preserving Nigeria as one united nation.
The President also highlighted the need for Nigerians from different backgrounds to work together towards national development. His administration has repeatedly described Nigeria’s diversity as an asset that can contribute to economic growth, peace and social progress when properly harnessed.
He urged citizens to look beyond ethnic and regional differences and focus on shared national interests. According to Tinubu, stronger cooperation among Nigeria’s various communities is necessary to address the challenges confronting the country.
The recognition of the Hausa community reflects the broader importance of cultural inclusion in building national identity. Tinubu maintained that every ethnic group has a role to play in strengthening Nigeria’s unity and creating a more peaceful and prosperous society.
