TIWA SAVAGE SET TO DROP FIRST ALBUM IN FIVE YEARS, THIS ONE IS PERSONAL, ON AUGUST 29
Nigerian music queen Tiwa Savage is making her long-awaited return with a brand-new album titled This One Is Personal, dropping on August 29, 2025. This marks her first full-length project since Celia in 2020, and fans are buzzing with excitement.
Unlike her past projects, Tiwa is taking a different approach this time. The album dives deep into themes of pain, growth, and resilience, showcasing a raw and vulnerable side of her artistry. Recorded across Nashville, London, and Lagos, it promises a mix of global influences while staying rooted in her signature afrobeats sound.
The project also stands out for its minimal collaborations, with only Skepta and rising star Taves making guest appearances. Tiwa explained that this choice was intentional, as she wanted the music to feel more authentic and personal.
During a recent fan Q&A, she revealed that the album is a reflection of her personal journey over the past few years:
“This project carries so much of my story, my challenges, and my growth. It’s the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my music.”
With anticipation building across social media, This One Is Personal is set to solidify Tiwa Savage’s place as one of Afrobeats’ most powerful voices, blending global reach with intimate storytelling.
