TRABZONSPOR INSIST ON €15M FOR ONUACHU

Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have reportedly maintained a €15m valuation for Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu as interest in the forward continues to grow following the end of the 2025/26 season.

Onuachu finished the campaign with 22 league goals, ending the season as joint top scorer alongside İstanbul Başakşehir forward Eldor Shomurodov.

The 31-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs, with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli Saudi FC reportedly among the frontrunners for his signature, especially if the club parts ways with Ivan Toney during the summer transfer window.

Despite growing transfer interest, Trabzonspor are said to be reluctant to sell the Nigerian striker, who still has two years remaining on his contract.

According to reports from Turkish outlet Dik Futbol, the club will only consider offers around the €15m mark.

Another Turkish journalist, Baha Coşkun, also reported that Trabzonspor expect any interested club to meet at least that valuation before negotiations can progress.

The asking price represents a significant increase from the €5.7m Trabzonspor paid Southampton FC to secure Onuachu’s permanent transfer after his successful loan spell.

During the 2023/24 season, the striker impressed with 15 league goals, prompting the Turkish club to activate his permanent deal.

Earlier in March, Onuachu was linked with a Saudi Arabian club reportedly prepared to triple his wages, but the Nigerian international declined the offer at the time.

However, reports suggest the possibility of a future move to Saudi Arabia still appeals to the striker, especially with clubs willing to offer salaries worth up to four times his current earnings.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
