TRADITIONALISTS PROTEST ALLEGED INVASION OF TANI OLORUN COMMUNITY IN ONDO

Traditionalists in Ondo State have raised concerns over the alleged invasion of the Tani Olorun community, calling on relevant authorities to intervene and protect the community from actions they believe could threaten its cultural heritage and peaceful existence. The development has generated concern among members of the traditional religion community in the state.

The aggrieved traditionalists reportedly expressed displeasure over what they described as an attempt to interfere with a community regarded as important to their cultural and spiritual identity. Community representatives have repeatedly stressed the importance of dialogue in resolving disputes involving traditional institutions, land and cultural heritage. They have called on government authorities, traditional rulers and other stakeholders to engage the affected parties and prevent disagreements from developing into violence or prolonged conflict.

The latest concerns have therefore renewed calls for authorities to establish the facts surrounding the alleged invasion and take appropriate action where necessary. Traditionalists maintained that cultural communities should be treated with respect and that disputes affecting ancestral institutions should be handled through lawful and peaceful channels.
