English Women’s Super League sides — Aston Villa Women, Brighton Women, and West Ham United Women — are competing to secure Joy Omewa, the in-form striker from Fortuna Hjørring.

Omewa has delivered an impressive season so far, scoring 13 goals in 14 league matches and adding seven more in European competition. The 22-year-old forward has attracted strong interest from the three WSL clubs ahead of the winter transfer window.

She recently earned her first call-up to the Super Falcons, making her debut last month against Benin Amazons.

Her fellow Nigerian, Chiamaka Nnadozie, currently plays for Aston Villa Women, a connection that could give the club an advantage in the pursuit.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
