TRUMP NAMES ZUCKERBERG, BRIN, HUANG TO TOP SCIENCE COUNCIL
President Donald Trump has appointed leading figures from the tech industry to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), reinforcing efforts to position the United States as a global leader in innovation.
Among those named to the council are Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, and Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia.
The council will be co-chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios, both key figures in technology and investment, with Kratsios having previously served as U.S. Chief Technology Officer.
Other prominent members include Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle, and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, a major influence in Silicon Valley.
In a statement, Zuckerberg expressed optimism about the initiative, noting that the United States has a strong opportunity to lead globally in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The formation of the council signals a strategic push by the administration to strengthen collaboration between government and the tech sector, particularly in areas like AI, innovation, and digital infrastructure.
