With just three weeks until the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, UK entrants Remember Monday have released a special cover of Húsavík (My Hometown) from Will Ferrell's Netflix comedy Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

The trio—Holly-Anne Hull, Charlotte Steele, and Lauren Byrne—filmed their version in the song's namesake Icelandic town, fulfilling what they called "a long-time dream." The music video features the band performing with a local choir of schoolgirls (who previously sang at the 2001 Oscars) and exploring the country's picturesque Elf Houses.

A Mission to Change Perceptions
Despite bookmakers predicting a mid-table finish for their original entry, What The Hell Just Happened, Remember Monday are determined to challenge Eurovision stereotypes. "We're hungry to get a good result," Hull told BBC News. "There's a stigma around Eurovision, and we'd love to help change that."

The group, who met in school and later starred in West End productions like Les Misérables and Six: The Musical, have embraced the Eurovision experience wholeheartedly. Their promotional tour has included performances across Europe—even atop a Swiss mountain—and Steele conquered her fear of flying to reach Húsavík.

Eurovision Build-Up
As rehearsals begin in Basel's Jakobshalle arena, the BBC has announced a one-off special (airing May 9) featuring Graham Norton interviewing Remember Monday. Meanwhile, Sara Cox will join Radio 2's coverage, co-hosting the semi-finals with Richie Anderson. Scott Mills and Rylan return for the grand final on May 17.

Sweden's KAJ currently leads as favorite with Bara Bada Bastu, a sauna-themed anthem that could secure the country a record-breaking eighth win. Last year's winner, Switzerland's Nemo, triumphed with the non-binary anthem The Code.

Remember Monday's Húsavík cover is now available on streaming platforms, offering fans a heartfelt preview of their Eurovision spirit before the main event.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
